Skylyn's 1st Birthday!

We can't believe that it's already come and gone! Skylyn celebrated her birthday all week long...Our big bash was last Saturday and we had lots of family and friends come by to celebrate with us. Thanks to everyone for making Sky's first birthday so successful! We think she had a great time!

Countdown to 1 year...

We can't believe that Skylyn is almost 1 year old! In the past couple of months, she's really changed physically and mentally. The other day, she decided to crawl UP the Chik-Fil-A slide. She also seems to think that every piece of furniture in the house is something to climb on or over. She's constantly laughing, pointing, waving, and blowing kisses at everyone...She's so much fun. Skylyn attended her 1st FSU game...Well, just the pre-game. It was raining most of the time, so we didn't get to stay long, but Skylyn got to tailgate, watch the marching chiefs, and see renegade. She had a good time cheering on the 'noles. Maybe next time we can actually stay for a few plays!

Summer Vacation

We spent the past week at the beach and had a blast! The first weekend was spent with CeeCee and Grandpee. Highlights with them included driving down 30A, eating at Bud & Alley's in Seaside, and parasailing. We also spent some time with Uncle Mike in Destin, and ate dinner with Aunt Kristin at the Shrimp Boat Restaurant. One of our best moments was taking out the boat and snorkeling with the dolphins at Shell Island. We couldn't believe how friendly and close they came to us. Overall, we just enjoyed relaxing and hanging out as a family. It's hard to leave...

Sky 9 mos. and walking!

Just shy of her 9 month birthday, Skylyn decided to start walking. Lately, she's been practicing a lot and is slowly starting to prefer it over crawling. More importantly, Skylyn has learned the 'Nole chop. We've been working really hard to prep her for her first game. Check out the videos below to see her latest accomplishments.

Congratulations Jessica & Justin!

We spent this past weekend in Palm Beach Gardens celebrating Jessica & Justin's wedding. We also got to visit with Skylyn's great grandparents as well as some family friends. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Saunders!

Skylyn 8 months

Skylyn's 8 months and full of life...she doesn't stop. We think she's going to walk any day now b/c she's so close to taking steps on her own. She's such a happy, social baby and her new thing is to wave "hi" to everyone. Looking forward to her 9 month appt...

Boston Trip

Boston was great! We walked the Freedom Trail, took a ferry to Provincetown, Cape Cod, and just spent a lot of quality time together as a family. One of the highlights of our trip was meeting comedians Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and Rob Schneider on Newbury St. (2nd pic). Also, Skylyn turned 8 months in Boston and stood up all on her own while we were stuck in ATL at an airport hotel. We'll never forget it!

We headed to Sarasota to celebrate Jess's weekend with the girls...Steve had some daddy-daughter time and visited his friend Rohin while the girls' weekend consisted of lots of sun, food, and relaxation.

We headed to WPB this weekend and celebrated Jessica's upcoming nuptials by attending her wedding shower. We're so excited for her and Justin, and can't wait until the big day in July! It was great seeing everyone this weekend...

Panama City Beach

If you haven't been able to find us for the past month, this is where we've been! We're finally starting to settle into our "beach getaway" and have been enjoying our time out there. Come join us when you can!

Mother's Day at the beach

We had a great time at the beach this past weekend as we celebrated Mother's Day for the first time. It consisted of playing hard on the beach, eating lots of seafood at the local PC restaurants, and spending quality time with all the moms and family...

Spring is here...

And we've been busy! Skylyn's 5th month has come and gone by so fast. She celebrated her first Easter holiday, visited with family, and flew to NYC! She's 26.5 inches long now and weighs 14.5 lbs. We're looking forward to spending lots of time at the beach this summer and can't wait to get her in the water!

Skylyn had her 4 month appointment the other day and is now weighing at 12.5 lbs. She's still in the 25th percentile for weight, but has now moved into the 50th percentile for her height. She's now eating rice cereal and is working on her crawling abilities. She's also trying to "talk" with different tones and is constantly smiling and giggling. She's one cool chick and is so much fun!

4 Months

This week, we attended the VIP tent and volunteered at the Extreme Home Makeover. It was such a great experience and we were so glad to have the opportunity to do this! The first night, we brought Skylyn and spent time with friends in the tent (via the party limo - check out "the pole" behind Skylyn), which was right across the street from the house, had food and a blue grass band. Skylyn had a great time. The second day, we actually did some work and got to be a part of "behind the scenes" stuff. The show should air sometime around mid or late April. Be sure to look for us - we're in a hard hat and blue shirt! :)
